More than just an Italian restaurant. Williamsbridge, Bronx 3531 White Plains Road.

There are many film places people would love to explore throughout the city, however, not all these places are big museums or grand areas. Some film sites are just as simple as a small pizzeria.

The iconic movie The Godfather is about an the powerful Italian-American crime family of Don Vito Corleone. Michael, the youngest son in the family, reluctantly joins the Mafia. He in joining he becomes trapped in the violence and conflict that come with the job. As the story progress he becomes deeper and deeper involved in this danger.

One of the most famous scenes in the movie takes place in Louis' restaurant. In the movie Michael Corleone kills rival gangster Sollozzo and corrupt police captain McCluskey in the restaurant.

Sadly, the restaurant closed down recently, but you can still enjoy the area in which the movie takes place.

This is where the restaurant used to be

Regardless of the existence of the restaurant, history is made in the same area where one of the greatest movies were shot.
